Missing People is a lifeline when someone disappears. To be that lifeline, we need people. And not just any people, but wonderful, passionate, talented, ambitious, caring, effective, dedicated, resourceful and supportive people. To ensure we get those incredible people, we…

  • Work hard to recruit the right people and to ensure they understand the nature of ‘missing' (induction and training)
  • Listen to staff and explore ideas with them (121’s; appraisals; all team meetings)
  • Take care of staff and their families in the best ways we can (click 'next' below for a more detailed list of some of the staff benefits)
  • Get together to laugh and have fun (volunteer, summer and Christmas parties; team lunches)
  • Support those who need it when they need it (Employee Assistance Programme; occupational health; compassionate leave)
  • Celebrate staff accomplishments and efforts (Certificates of Achievement)
  • Encourage learning and development (training programme; 10% Time Scheme; study leave)
  • Have great support from external consultants who share their expertise with us through advice and training; and sometimes they even run a few miles for us like HR Department

Missing People staff and volunteers live the values in every day, and in every part of the organisation. All staff and volunteers are a lifeline, no matter what their role.
