Shortlisting and interview process
Once we have read all the applications received for a vacant post, we contact those who have been shortlisted.
Unfortunately due to the number of applications we receive for most roles, we are not able to contact those who have been unsuccessful.
First interviews will be conducted by two members of staff (one of which is the line manager for the post) and will last around 45 minutes to an hour.
We look for demonstrable ideas and knowledge and at how you would meet the requirements of the role on offer. Remember to set the scene; be specific about your role in the situation / conducting the task; detail about your actions; and the end result (STAR approach).
Feedback is offered to candidates being invited back to second interview; as well as unsuccessful candidates should they request it.
Second interviews usually consist of a test (related to the job role), followed by a second meeting with at least two members of staff.
In this second meeting, we look to learn a little bit more about you, to delve deeper into what makes you tick and to assess how well you would fit within Missing People's culture. It's important for you to ask us questions in both stages, to assess if Missing People is the right fit for you too!
