MIssing People E-newsletter December 2009 - Christmas Special

Dear Friend,

As the Chief Executive of Missing People, I would like to thank you for the generous support you have shown towards the charity this year. Thanks to you, Missing People has been able to help vulnerable children during 2009.

The very first text message we received was just one word - ‘help’. Sam, aged 13, had run away after being abused by his father. He was homeless, scared and self harming. Sam said that no one cared. We did. Missing People found Sam a safe place to go in the local area.

A donation of £10 would enable us to answer a desperate call for help from a vulnerable young runaway - helping them take those crucial first steps to safety.

This Christmas, more and more children will feel that their only option is to run away. With your help, Missing People can be there to safeguard and support them. If you are able to make a donation this Christmas, your gift will help Missing People to offer a lifeline of hope to vulnerable young runaways.

On behalf of the charity’s small but dedicated team of staff and volunteers, I would like to thank you in advance for your support in 2010. We’re so glad we found you.

With warmest wishes,

Martin Houghton-Brown

Chief Executive

P.S: Ticking the Gift Aid box increases the value of your donation to Missing People – at no additional cost to you.
